A formal gala for presenting statuettes and honorable mentions in the National Stanisław Staszic Contest for the best innovative products, “Laurel in the field of innovation 2015” was held on November 25, 205.                      

The Institute submitted a project entitled “System of assessment of  durability of materials for power engineering”, which was honoured with  bronze laurel in the field of innovativeness.

The system of assessment of the condition of material of pressure components for power engineering boilers was developed in order to assess functionality thereof in operations during the design operating time as well as beyond the design operating time in creep conditions (high temperature and pressure). Determining the time of safe operations of the examined materials is possible through objective assessment developed based on the set of material engineering methods, as well as research techniques, creep tests as well as properly selected computational methods, in  that computer  analysis of microstructure image.
