By a resolution of the Management Board of ENEA S.A. Dr Hab. Eng. Janusz Dobrzański was honored with the "Meritorious for the ENEA Group". In the opinion of the reviewers, including President of the Management Board Paweł Szczeszek, it is not only the laureate's scientific achievements that counts, but also his contribution to the development of the Polish energy sector.

Doctor Dobrzański is a long-term employee of the Łukasiewicz Research Network – Institute for Ferrous Metallurgy, previously known as Stanislaw Staszic Institute for Ferrous Metallurgy. For many years he headed the Department of Materials for Power Engineering at the Institute. He is a scientist who conducts, inter alia, diagnostic material tests of pressure components of power engineering equipment following long term exploitation in creep conditions, for the purpose of the assessment of microstructure, internal damages and determination of the degree of wear. Janusz Dobrzański has over 600 research works in his scientific achievements, including over 500 carried out directly for industry and used in practice. Over 200 of the doctor's publications appeared in renowned trade journals.
