Rolling set(module B-LPS) is used for semi-industrial simulation of advanced processes of controlled hot rolling and cooling of sheets or square bars of metal alloys, in that steel. This is a rolling unit composed of Two-high D 550/Four-high (D420/D130) reverse mill, roll face: 700 mm, heating furnace, devices for controlled strand cooling, equipped with process parameters measurement and control system. It facilitates simulations of hot rolling and cooling of: heavy plates, strips (to a limited extent, by means of sheet rolling method) and bars (limited dimension range).
Device for melting and casting of amorphous and nano-crystalline alloys is used for metal and alloy vacuum melting or melting under pressure of shielding gas as well as for pressure- die casting of metals and alloys into cooled moulds
The weight of cast material is from 50 g to 500 g, and the applied technology makes it possible to cast monolythic plates of dimensions 50 mm x 50 mm and of thickness from 2 to 5 mm and bars of diameter from 5 mm to 15 mm and length from 50 mm to 100 mm, at maximum cooling rate ~102oC/s.
